  • Hamza Jilani

    CO-CHAIR

    Hamza is a fourth year student in the College studying Economics and Political Science. Hamza got involved at UChiVotes as a Voting Ambassador in his first year, during the 2020 elections. He also serves on the Student Advisory Board at the Institute of Politics.

  • Shannon Dye

    CO-CHAIR

    Shannon is a third year majoring in political science and human rights. She started with UChiVotes by becoming a voting ambassador her first year. Her second year fall she helped lead the Voting Ambassador team during the midterms before becoming co-chair last winter. In addition to UChiVotes, Shannon is a member of the Student Advisory Board for the Institute of Politics, a Resident Dean Assistant for Woodlawn West, and member of the Independent Review Committee for the UChicago Police department. Some of her interests include theatre, creating playlist, and binge-watching tv shows. She is very passionate about democracy reform.

  • Katie Fraser

    OUTREACH CO-DIRECTOR

    Katie is a third year double majoring in public policy and history. Besides UChiVotes, she is involved in W+, Maroon Tutor Match, and Model UN. Coming from Texas, she is especially aware of how much her vote counts—she feels that just mailing in her ballot is a part of participating in change. She wants to encourage others in the UChicago community to exercise this power and become more civically engaged through voting!

  • Daisy Maslan

    VOTING AMBASSADOR CO-DIRECTOR

    Daisy is a fourth year majoring in History and French and minoring in Biology. She got involved with UChiVotes during her second-year when she realized UChiVotes existed...after spending her time as a first-year attempting to register her house to vote and phone bank. She has spent much of her time on campus studying biology and working in a genetics lab; at home, she has worked in public service and community organizing in Oakland and Berkeley, California.

  • Kylan Bartel

    VOTING AMBASSADOR CO-DIRECTOR

    Kylan is a third year in the College studying Sociology with a minor in Spanish. They joined UChiVotes last year as an ambassador. In addition to working with UChiVotes, Kylan is involved with University Chorus and Environmental Justice Task Force. His goal this year is to build a strong team of ambassadors in preparation for the 2024 election season!

  • Tania Pena Reyes

    COMMUNICATIONS CO-DIRECTOR

    Tania is a fourth year biochem majoring in biochemistry and minoring in Arabic. She got involved in UChiVotes in her second year, although she's been pestering people to vote for much longer than that! In addition to UChiVotes, she is the Co-President of the Global Health Alliance and Executive Producer of Survivor Chicago. A proud Texan, she is passionate about bringing attention to issues young people care about both in her home state and nationwide!

  • Rafe Knight

    COMMUNICATIONS CO-DIRECTOR

    Rafe is a second year in the college studying Public Policy and Applied Math. He got into politics working on a local mayoral race and has since continued to work on local and state races, emphasizing using data to understand and increase turnout. He got involved with UChiVotes in the lead-up to the 2022 midterm election, his first year as a voting ambassador.

  • Davis Turner

    TREASURER/LOGISTICS CHAIR

    Davis is a second-year student studying Economics and CEGU (Environment, Geography, and Urbanization). He joined UChiVotes in his first year as a voting ambassador and thoroughly enjoyed talking with students about voting and encouraging the student body to be politically engaged. You can find him running around Hyde Park, attending a plethora of IOP Speaker Series events, and trying his hand at Moot Court for the first time. He is very interested in transportation policy, and one day hopes to use knowledge of the law, public policy, economics, and math to fundamentally change America's transportation infrastructure for the better.
